Become a Nanny

Looking for a flexible, early childhood job supported by an experienced team of childcare professionals? We help our Nannies find fantastic positions with families all over New Zealand and offer ongoing support and assistance throughout your experience.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BECOME A HOMEGROWN KIDS NANNY?
We’re looking for warm, caring people who have a passion for working with young children and feel comfortable fitting into an established family home and routine. All our Nannies must pass a police vetting process.
If you’re at least 18 years old, have experience working with young children in paid employment, a clean (preferably full) drivers licence and a minimum of two child-related referees that can be contacted by our staff (family and friends not accepted), we’d love to hear from you. Contact us now.
How do we support our Nannies?

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY
When you join Home Grown Kids as a Nanny, you’ll be given a Support Manual that includes a folder full of information (policies, procedures, documents and forms) to support and guide you. A personal visit from your Visiting Teacher will help you understand all the materials.
WEBSITE PROFILE
All Nannies looking for employment receive a personal website profile on our profile page, so potential families can get to know you a little better.
STORYPARK – SHARE THE STORY
Home Grown Kids provides you and your families an e-portfolio through Storypark, using your very own private page. An amazing, easy to use digital tool, Storypark enables us to deepen the level of communication we have with the immediate family and the child’s wider community.
You can add learning stories and photos/videos of children on to their personal Storypark page. Parents will have primary access and are able to invite others to share their children’s experiences. This may include overseas relatives, specialists the child may be seeing, or the child’s future primary school teacher – people that are important to the child and their whanau. Storypark gives Educators a way to share information and collaborate in a partnership of learning with each child’s family and community.
