EXPERIENCE:
Betu is a Mum to 2 children, has a High School Teaching qualification and is a Mama Rising certified facilitator. She is also a qualified Home Based Educator holding the NZ Certificate in ECE – Level 4.
HOME ENVIRONMENT:
Betu’s home is close to parks and local playgrounds. Blackpool playgroup is also close by. There is a large sunny deck and open play areas for children to explore. A veggie garden and fruit trees teach children about sustainability and growing your own food. Being close to the beach, this is an extension of the playspace where appropriate.
Inside there is a quiet space for rest and naps.
CHILDCARE PHILOSOPHY:
Betu believes in free play so children can explore a range of activities at their own pace and follow their interests. Kindness and respect are two of the most important things to Betu in her practice with young children and their families. Creating a two way communication flow ensures relationships between families is healthy and children are well supported to grow and learn in a safe and loving environment.
ACTIVITIES PROVIDED:
Betu attends playgroup, music and movement sessions and enjoys walks to the beach, playgrounds or library. Betu believes in making the most of the beautiful outdoors for play and learning.
Being part of the Waiheke Toy Library, Betu is able to swap out resources regularly, following the lead of children in their learning through identifying and extending on their interests.

Tuesday – Thursday
9.00am – 2.00pm
Betu has been fully safety screened including a face to face interview, police vetting, identity verification have has been fully inducted. A full risk assessment has been undertaken to ensure she is safe and suitable to work with young children.
