Carli and her family immigrated from South Africa at the end of 2012 to New Zealand. In South Africa, Carli managed a daycare and aftercare for 6 years and loved every moment of it!
In 2002 Carli took a gap year and to South Korea to teach English. Carli worked with children 2-5 years old.
Settling in New Zealand, she secured work at an Early Learning Centre (Children First) in Upper Hutt in 2013. She worked there for 8 months and it broadened her horizons, she absolutely relished the ‘learning through play’ concept. After a while, Carli decided to move to home base childcare and got her first enrolment soon after and has been doing it ever since.
Carli moved from Raumati Beach, Wellington to Auckland the beginning of January 2018 and settled in the beautiful Okura community. Okura is close to Torbay/Longbay and just off the road of Easy Coast Road which makes it easily accessible. It’s a beautiful rural area with a lovely playground and horses in view, very peaceful! She can’t wait for little feet running around in the garden again.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Carli builds on children’s learning and development by providing opportunities that are of interest to them through play. Everyday activities include water play, painting, reading stories, books, sandpit/water play, dress up, play dough, music and movement, messy play, blocks and much more
Carli believes in supporting parents and lending a helping hand where ever she can. She enjoys the unpredictability that every day brings. She strongly believes in providing a safe and calm environment for children to be themselves. She also places value in making sure that children of all ages have the necessary resources available to them.
