EXPERIENCE:
Denise is a mother to two school aged boys and has been a Home Based Educator since 2011. She has a National Certificate in Early Childhood and a current First Aid certificate. Denise has also completed a parenting course run by Auckland Kindergarten Association and a variety of courses run by The Parenting Place.
HOME ENVIRONMENT:
Denise’s environment is full of curiosity and wonder. Her passion and interest for animals, reptiles and bugs is evident in her environment. Denise has a safe fenced outside area with a fort and swings among the chickens, rabbits and fruit trees.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Denise is very involved in the local community and attends music, outings and playgroups including visits to the library. She believes this provides the opportunity for children to develop social competent skills and develop and extend on friendships within the wider community.
CHILDCARE PHILOSOPHY:
Denise believes in providing a caring, fun safe environment for learning. She offers the opportunity for children to learn and develop through play and is knowledgeable about providing meaningful play experiences to extend and develop children’s thinking and ideas.
Denise has a passion for animals and shares this interest with the children. Children are involved in rich language experiences and conversations about their natural world. Children are encouraged to explore their curiosity and express their own working theories about the world around them.
Denise encourages children to develop their independence skills both physically and emotionally. She achieves this through gentle guidance and support. Denise also believes in creating positive and reciprocal relationships with families and works together as a team for the best outcomes of the children.
