Ginni is a dedicated Educator and mother. She is currently studying Early Childhood through Taruna College part time and puts her theory into practice in her teaching role. Ginni is very much part of the local Waiheke Early Childhood Community. She has facilitated Wriggle and Rhyme classes, Wednesday Rambles nature walks, and worked as a support teacher and as a Play Circle Coordinator for Fossil Bay Kindergarten. She has also been the Chairperson for the local Puna Reo group on Waiheke.
Ginni is ten minutes walk to the seashore in Surfdale.
Ginni’s home environment is very cosy with nature inspired items and hand made toys. She uses musical instruments on a daily basis, promoting a joyful yet soft atmosphere. Ginni’s outdoor space includes a tree house, a sandpit, guinea pigs and a rabbit and she also has a woodwork area.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Ginni incorporates bush and coastal adventures into her weekly experiences, and she also has a gardening plot at the local Ostend organic community garden. ‘Snail Patch’ is an ongoing project and is well liked by the tamariki. It is very much a ‘hands on’ learning experience.
Ginni’s philosophy statement as follows: “May a child be nourished in their environment to go fourth in confidence and freedom knowing they’re loved and cared for”.
