Jenna has been an Educator with our service for just over two years. Prior to this, Jenna and her family lived in the United Kingdom where Jenna worked for the Early Years Childcare Centre on and off while raising her four sons. Jenna’s boys are however all grown up and attend local schools.
Jenna has a large outdoor area complete with a working mud kitchen. There is plenty of room and spaces for the children to explore and develop their gross motor skills.
Indoors the children have their own play room with lots of open ended resources to support their children’s growing imaginations and interests.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Jenna attends a local playgroup and music group and with the Bottle Lake Forest nearby, expeditions take place regularly. Visits to the local library are part of the children’s weekly events too.
Jenna is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Philosophy while Waldorf Steiner environments and Montessori toys are also very meaningful to her. Jenna values and supports children with active learning, independence, problem solving, imaginative play and creative thinking. Jenna is enthusiastic about outdoor play too and time outdoors is very much part of a child’s care day. Jenna is passionate about her role as an Educator and finds it a huge privilege to be involved in a child’s learning journey.
