EXPERIENCE:
Rachel is married to Matthew and they have 2 gorgeous young children. She has extensive volunteer experience with pre-school, primary and secondary school aged young people and is fully first aid trained.
HOME ENVIRONMENT:
Rachel’s home is warm and inviting, bright and open with a lovely fenced and grassed backyard. Complete with a swing set, it is a lovely placed for children of all ages to enjoy. She considers every child in her care part of her family and believes in forming close relationships with both children and their families. Her home is walking distance to a great playground and a reserve where the children are free to explore their surroundings.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Rachel attend playgroups, community activities, Mainly Music and Crazy Craft with the children in my care. She believes this is essential to developing social skills and a fantastic way to expand on their learning and interests. She loves to take walks and explore Auckland’s beautiful backyard of beaches, parks and child friendly activities. Rachel’s home is always filled with music and song and they all love to dance. She also loves planning activities such as baking, arts and crafts and sensory play in order to provide a fun and stimulating environment.
CHILDCARE PHILOSOPHY:
Rachel believes all children should have the opportunity to have a childhood filled with love, fun and learning. She strives to provide an environment that fosters learning through play, building on a child’s interests and creating learning opportunities where possible. Rachel believes home-based childcare provides a safe place for children to have their physical and emotional needs met, while developing independence in all they do. She achieves this by providing guidance and support and the belief that her home is “their home away from home” which sees continued settled and happy children.
QUALIFICATIONS:
NZ Certificate in ECE (Level 4)
Current First Aid certificate.
OPERATING HOURS:
Monday-Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm
