Rochelle has always had a strong interest in Early Childhood Education and has gained her level 3 ECE Certificate. When she had her young daughter she decided Home Based Care was important to her as not only was she able to share her knowledge with others and support young children, she was also able to be at home with her daughter.
The moment you walk into Rochelle’s home you can see that the children’s needs are first and foremost for her. Having a variety of understanding and knowing the importance of learning for children, Rochelle has a range of activities that provide challenges and allow for creative and expressive exploration. Rochelle has a variety of books, puzzles and dramatic play activities and has a lush veggie garden, fully fenced back yard that gives freedom to move and discover.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Chelle takes walks in the local community visiting the beach near by, local parks and attends community events when she can.
Rochelle has developed an understanding of children and encourages them to lead the play at their own pace. She feels that setting the environment up with a variety of resources and activities gives children a sense of empowerment to make their own choices and for them to let us know what they want. Rochelle also believes communication with families is paramount to play successfully for children and has very open communication and documentation allowing for open and honest feedback.
