ABOUT ME:
I am located in Maungaraki, Lower Hutt. I live with my partner, our cats and family. I believe that I am a positive, friendly and caring young woman that is polite, responsible and well-mannered. I possess compassion, patience, helpfulness and a willingness to learn and grow. I am passionate about the Well-being of children, Animals and People. Children have often called me the small teacher due to my height. I enjoy activities such as singing, participating in puzzles, reading stories and engaging in their pretend play. In my spare time I enjoy walks, travelling, coloring, listening to audio books, movies/series and spending time with loved ones.
CHILDCARE PHILOSOPHY:
I believe children learn best through play as well as thrive in a secure and safe environment that allows them to learn, socialise and grow. It is important for me to develop positive relationships with children by creating a positive, friendly and fun environment where they feel comfortable, supported and engaged.
EXPERIENCE:
I have almost 3 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education with Infants Toddlers and Young Children. I am currently working as a nanny. Previously, babysitting as well as casual relieving in daycares, alongside my ECE studies
QUALIFICATIONS and CREDENTIALS:
– Over 2 years experience working with young children.
– ECE Level 3 certificate as well as further study.
– First Aid certificated
– Full drivers license and full insured reliable car.

AVAILABILITY:
Monday to Friday between 8.00am-4.00 or 5.00pm
Currently unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays until April as well as one day a week for study.

Shakira has been face to face interviewed, identity verified, Police Vetted, referee checked. To finalise the screening process a full risk assessment has been completed to ensure the service is confident in Shakira being in sole charge of young children.
