Trudy and her family live on a wonderful lifestyle block that has lambs, chickens and calf’s at different times of the year. The children love the farm setting where they feed the lambs, collect the eggs and have plenty of space to run and climb. She has a neat fort and a lovely spacious home with plenty of resources for children to be able to make their own choices.
ACTIVITIES THEY PROVIDE:
Trudy provides lots of opportunities to be out in the community with weekly playgroup and mainly music sessions. She also gets together with other Home Grown Educators allowing children to build relationships with their peers in a larger environment meeting at local parks, Educators homes and group excursions. Trudy is very arty and great with crafts. She provides opportunities for children to develop their creativity and art skills. Trudy also understands routines are important especially for younger babies and toddlers and allows time for quieter activities and sleep routines .
Trudy understands and believes children have the best of both worlds within a home base environment and provides a play based setting. The children are able to explore and learn from nature and the wider community. Children also form a close relationship within the home setting in a warm, safe nurturing environment. When children feel safe, secure and comfortable they develop a sense of belonging. Children then can become competent, confident life long learners .
